Ultrasound contrast agent microbubbles made in pharmaceutical factories are typically complex chemical entities that must remain stable for months and withstand the vibration and temperature extremes of transport.
Our technique is to generate simpler microbubbles on demand at the lab or hospital. Our novel generation means allows us to optimize bubble parameters for ultrasound disruption, cell permeabilization, drug uptake, and drug efficacy.
For emerging therapeutic and imaging applications we offer a number of improvements over diagnostic microbubbles:
- Better permeabilization and sonoporation effectiveness
- Key bubble parameters can be varied with the Artenga device in order to optimize treatments
